Last years 3rd placed team, G2 Esports, has made it this year into the finals against FunPlus Phoenix, China´s best team at the time. But unfortunately for Europe, G2 has lost with score 3-0 for FunPlus Phoenix. G2 have never made it into the finals again, but they are still one of the best Europian teams.
