League of Legends has it´s own world championship once a year, where the best 16 teams from different regions fights for the Summoner´s Cup and a prize pool, which is different every year. There are 4 groups with 4 teams each. From each group are the 2 highest placed teams advanced to play-offs. Play-offs are build from quarter finals, semi finals, and finals. In quarter finals are 4 winning teams advanced to semi finals, and 2 winning teams in semi finals are advanced to the finals. The team, that wins the finals, is the winner of Summoner´s Cup and most of the prize pool.
