In 2012 was 12 teams in championship, but it wasn´t just a America and Europe anymore. Many Asian regions joined them, like Korea and China. Even prize pool was much bigger than last year. The Taipei Assassins was the team that earned the Summoner´s Cup this year, and won 2012 World Championship and $1,000,000.
2011 World Championship
In 2011, there wasn´t 16 teams as it´s usual now, but just 8 teams. It means, that there was just 2 groups. All of the teams has won some money from the prize pool, but most of them won team Fnatic, which has won the Championship.
